tsNET – LIVECODE EXTERNAL
LiveCode is an excellent cross platform development tool that allows the user to create native applications that can be deployed on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux.
Tech Strategies has developed the tsNet external to extend LiveCode’s rich capabilities by adding true asynchronous transfer support to your LiveCode applications. It also expands the list of protocols that LiveCode supports.*
tsNet is exclusively licensed by LiveCode and is included with the commercial versions of LiveCode. For more information or to purchase a license, visit the LiveCode web site.
More information about these libraries can be found on their respective websites.
tsNet offers a diverse array of new features to LiveCode’s networking capabilities.

Using the tsNet external with LiveCode provides you with support for HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, POP3, POP3S, IMAP, IMAPS, SMTP and SMTPS.
tsNet extends support for asynchronous transfers that have been traditionally only available to LiveCode users by using the “load url” command or when transferring files via FTP. It provides asynchronous functions for all supported protocols and transfer methods.
MORE RESPONSIVE ENGINE
By offloading all data transfers to a separate CPU thread, tsNet frees up the LiveCode engine to handle other messages. This results in a more responsive experience for your application’s user interface.
SUPPORT FOR ALL PLATFORMS
The tsNet external supports all of the same platforms that the LiveCode engine does. It brings complete parity to the networking capabilities of your LiveCode application on all platforms.
Enjoy faster network transfers when using tsNet. The tsNet external processes all network traffic for your application without involving the LiveCode engine. This enhances the performance and overall experience for your users.
